Our experienced team is well versed in the latest colour trends and cutting techniques. Pony Hair Studio is more than just a salon; it offers its clients a luxury salon experience that is unique in the Newcastle market. Sit at the stylishly designed bar, while you sip champagne and order a blow dry from our unique menu of blow dry styles such as; Smooth, Waves, Curls, Big and Messy, and we also offer styling services for the lads.
Pony now offer its clients makeup services, and you can even indulge in a glass of champagne during your appointment, or a coffee if it’s a bit early!
At Pony Hair Studio, our team is a highly experienced team of passionate hair stylists that go above and beyond to ensure our clients are taken care of.
Director/Owner Emma Johnson has over 15 years experience of running cutting edge hair salons in London and now Australia, Emma is well versed in the world of beauty and fashion. She brings a wealth of experience to her new business venture in Newcastle and has worked backstage at London Fashion Week and for Victoria Beckham at New York Fashion Week.
Moving to Newcastle a few years ago, she identified a gap in the market for an on trend blow dry and colour bar. Having visited blow dry bars throughout the UK and LA, and with Newcastle calling her name, Emma was inspired to bring this relatively new concept down under.
Emma opened the beautiful salon space in the heart of The Junction with a talented team of stylists and the salon is going from strength to strength.
We are a small and highly experienced team. Emma is not a hairdresser, she is the front of house manager and the face of the business and prides herself on her customer service, aiming to personalise the salon experience for each and every one of Pony’s clients. When it comes to Pony’s services, Emma has employed a fantastic group of girls to support her dreams and goals for the salon. Each team member from junior to senior is committed to representing Emma and Pony with the high standard it is renowned for.
Having only being open a year, we are fierce rivals to our competitors by having already secured a partnership with Facon Magazine, Newcastle Fashion Weekend and several local media stories have been achieved by our PR agency.
The extent of our partnership with Facon includes runway styling and multiple fashion shoots. Pony was also asked to be the key salon locally for the inaugural Newcastle Fashion Weekend. Our team will work creatively behind the scenes to manage the hair direction and styling for the runway show.
